Through this Request for Proposals, the City of Vernon in British Columbia, Canada invites Proposals for a phased project including the construction of a multi-use path on 43rd Avenue (Phase 1) and a roundabout at the intersection of Alexis Park Drive and 43rd Avenue and Old Kamloops road (Phase 2). An optional third phase for work along Alexis Park Drive from the new roundabout to the intersection at Turtle Mountain Boulevard and 39th Avenue may be available in 2027. The phased project work can be briefly summarized as follows: Phase 1 - 43 Avenue MUP – 32nd St to 35th St Construction of a Multi-Use Path (MUP) on 43rd Ave, from HWY 97 [32nd St] to 35th St: a) Approximately 390m of paved multi-use path; b) Approximately 500m of concrete curb & gutter and median curb, as well as concrete infill and miscellaneous concrete sidewalk; c) Approximately 2,000sq.m of two lifts of asphalt and associated road reconstruction; d) Modifications to existing traffic signals; e) Line painting; and f) Minor landscaping Phase 2 - Alexis Park Dr & 43 Ave & Old Kamloops Road Roundabout Construction of a Roundabout at the intersection of Alexis Park Drive and 43rd Ave and Old Kamloops Road: a) Reconstruction of approximately 260m of two and four-lane road, complete with the construction of a roundabout; b) Approximately 160m of 250 and 200mm diameter Sanitary Sewer, 60 c) m of 250mm diameter Storm Sewer, and miscellaneous Storm Sewer improvements; d) Approximately 200m of 200mm and 130m of 450mm Watermain and appurtenances; e) Relocation of streetlights and supply and installation of traffic signals; and f) Minor landscaping. Phase 3 - Alexis Park Drive upgrade (Optional 2027) Future work from the Phase 2 Roundabout to Turtle Mountain Boulevard pending approval for 2027 may include: a) Storm Sewer / Utility upgrade b) Road Rehabilitation c) Curb & gutter reconstruction and d) multi-use path construction Documents can be obtained from https://vernon.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/94668
