Exterior Renovations - Package B Contractors may bid on BID PACKAGE 'A' and/or BID PACKAGE 'B'. The contracts will each stand alone and will be awarded to the low bidder individually. The project generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following work: Exterior Renovations to include adding insulation to furred out walls and attic, roofing and accessories as indicated, replacing fascia, soffit, gutters and downspouts at eight (8) buildings as per plans and specifications. No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the contractor's name, license number, the date of the license's expiration, and a quotation of that part of his classification applying to the bid. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. The Contract will be subject to the "Section 3" Clause, see Document 00 72 00, calling for utilization of low-income businesses and individuals from the project area where feasible. Each prime bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid. Bid Bonds and Performance and Payment Bonds must be secured by a guaranty, or a surety company listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570 and shall be within the maximum amount specified for such company in said Circular 570. The "Bid Bond" and the "Performance and Payment Bond" must be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be listed in U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
