Renovation of a municipal facility in Britt, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago invites quotations from qualified contractors to complete removals of interior wall and ceiling panelling from the Pointe Au Baril Lighthouse. The painted surfaces have been identified to be lead containing, and there is mould and water damage present. Electrical wiring should be carefully maintained and suitably resecured following removals. Light ballast and lamp tubes above kitchen sink can be removed and disposed of but may be polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and mercury containing. Other hazardous substances may exist in other areas of the building as identified within the 2023 Hazardous Building Material Assessment.
