The Main St. Culvert Replacement project consists of the removal of the existing 72-in corrugated metal pipe and the installation of 80 linear feet of 8'Wx9'H precast concrete box culvert and associated services on Main St SW, Concord NC at an unnamed tributary to Irish Buffalo Creek. It includes removal and replacement of the existing 6" sanitary sewer, relocation of the existing 8" water line along Main St., new 15", 18" and 24" storm sewer pipe system along Carriage Ave. SW and Main St. SW, roadway pavement reconstruction and other appurtenances. Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Concord (Owner) at the address. Please submit notarized bids in a sealed envelope by the bid opening time and date. Owner may consider the qualifications and experience of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other persons and organizations proposed for those portions of the Work for which the identity of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other persons and organizations must be submitted as provided in the Supplementary Conditions. Owner also may consider the operating costs, maintenance requirements, performance data, and guarantees of major items of materials and equipment proposed for incorporation in the Work when such data is required to be submitted prior to the Notice of Award. Owner may conduct such investigations as Owner deems necessary to assist in the evaluation of any Bid and to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of Bidders, proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other persons and organizations to perform and furnish the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents to Owner's satisfaction within the prescribed time. Bidder agrees that all work will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.13 of the General Conditions within 300 days from the date of notice to proceed. Liquidated damages are $1,000.00 per each day past the contract completion date.
