The Housing Authority of the City of Orlando, Florida (OHA) seeks competitive bids from qualified individuals and/or organizations to provide metal reroofing at our Central Maintenance property. All questions requiring explanations and interpretations of the IFB document must be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Manager, Liza Martinez, at liza.martinez@orl-oha.org by August 12, 2025, by 2:00 PM EST. All questions will be answered per HUD 5369, Section 2 Responses will be held in confidence throughout the procurement process, as applicable by law. The Housing Authority reserves the right to waive any formalities, to reject any or all bids, or to re-advertise for bids. OHA is a Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Agency. Provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, shop drawings, permits, inspections, fees, to install a new standing seam roof system over existing metal roof system, all in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, and the Florida Building Code, 2020 edition, as adopted by the City of Orlando Florida. 1) install new metal standing seam roof panels over existing metal roof ("metal over metal" application) using a retrofit (metal over metal) system such as manufactured by Roof Huggers, Inc. 2) install 1" rigid foam insulation (thermal blocking) cut and placed between the standing seams of the existing roof and the new roof panels, 3) include all related fascia, rakes, eaves, gutters, downspouts, flashing & vent/pipe boots, 4) provide OHA with color-palette from which to select a color that closely matches existing fascia panels (i.e. evergreen or forest green)
