Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
An invitation to provide Proposals for a Design-Build partner for the Renewal of C500 Cocagne Bridge #1.5, Route 11 to be delivered via Progressive Design-Build (PDB). Phase 1 Becoming familiar with the site and existing Structure, and the surrounding highway network including traffic volumes. Plan and arrange all necessary inspection, exploration and non-destructive testing to inform their design approach and analysis For the described concepts use a life-cycle cost analysis approach to compare the options and provide sound recommendations to the Department summarized in a preliminary design report The report may include, but not limited to, the following: Proposed Structures Drawings with Plan, Profile and Deck Cross-section for each option (30%). Environmental Impact Drawings noting permanent and temporary wetland and instream impacts. Also, navigational channel opening shall be highlighted on the profile for the new structure. General arrangement drawings as necessary to show maintenance of traffic including detours and laydown areas. Quantity calculations for structural and grading items. Class "C" Engineer's Estimate Asset management strategy with estimated costs for each option Proposed project delivery schedule for each option including project phases, key milestones and completion dates. Risk analysis Upon Agreement of the recommendation of the preferred Renewal option, the Proponent will enter into a subsequent agreement and proceed with the following: Phase 2 provide a detailed design based on the selected concept. obtain all required permits, approvals, permissions and clearances. furnish all labor, equipment and materials to complete the construction of a bridge Renewal Project for C500 Cocagne River #1.5. For the purposes of this RFP, bridge Renewal Project means one of the following Project Concepts: Project Concept 1 o Rehabilitation of all existing bridge Superstructure and Substructure components as required to achieve a service life of 35 years from the date of Project completion. Project Concept 2 Replacement of the bridge for a 75-year design life.
