Reference Number 0000392461 Replacement of curbs and ADA ramps. All work must be completed by October 15, 2025. Bid Bond acceptable to the Village of Suffern, or a certified cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Suffern, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and Letter of Credit to secure the faithful performance thereof. Question Deadline 07/29/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes The Board of Trustees reserves the right to select the bid, the acceptance of which in their judgment will best serve the efficient performance and guaranteed completion of the work and to reject any and all bid presented, or to award the contract to other then the low bidder if, in the opinion of the Board, the best interest of the Village may be served thereby, or to accept the whole or any part of a bid or proposal as the same may be modified by mutual consent. Remove existing, replace with new concrete ADA ramps, as required, 6 inch thick, 4,000 PSI air entrained concrete, 4 inch depth of granular base course (Item 4), 6x6,10-10 W.W.F. reinforcement, including all demolition, excavation, debris removal/disposal and all associated site restoration (seed and topsoil). The contractor is responsible for Quality Control (QC). QC is defined as all activities required to produce HMA that meets all specification requirements. The contractor will incorporate a Quality Control system for all plant production ofhot mix asphalt (HMA) and assume responsibilities for all QC activities at the production facilities. The contractor shall produce the HMA according to the specifications herein and provide production documentation. Quality Adjustment Factors (QAFs) will be used to assess HMA production quality and these factors will be applied to calculate a quality payment adjustment. The State is responsible for Quality Assurance (QA). QA is defined as all activities performed by the State to assure that HMA production meets the specification requirements. The State will determine quality payment adjustments for each day's production using a daily QAF obtained from the calculations ofthe average absolute values for volumetric and non-volumetric mixes in accordance with Materials Procedure (MP) 96-02, Quality Control and Quality Assurance Procedures for Quality Control Hot Mix Asphalt Production. The daily QAFs measure production variation from the mean ofthe specification limits. These specifications apply to all plant mixed Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) produced at an approved production facility under Section 401, Plant Production, irrespective of aggregate gradation, type, and amount ofHMA material or use. This work will consist ofone or more courses ofHMA pavement constructed on the prepared foundation in accordance with these specifications, the specific requirements ofthe item under contract, and as shown in the contract documents or as directed by the Engineer. Prior to routine paving, the Engineer will conduct a pre-paving meeting with all parties working under this specification. This work shall consist of constructing one or more courses of cold mix bituminous pavement on a prepared base in accordance with these specifications and in substantial conformance with the lines, grades, thicknesses, and typical cross-sectionsshown on the plans or established by the Engineer. This work shall consist ofpreparing and treating an existing bituminous or portland cement concrete surface with bituminoustack coat in accordance with these specifications and in reasonably close conformity with the limits shown on the plans or established by the Engineer. The work shall consist ofthe construction of a single bituminous surface treatment for both pavements and shoulders in accordance with these specifications in substantial conformance with the limits shown on the plans or established by the Engineer. This work shall consist ofthe milling, shaping and removal ofportions of existing surfaces by a cold milling process, and subsequent cleaning, utilizing equipment and procedures meeting the requirements in this specification. The work shall consist ofMiscellaneous Cold Milling or Production Cold Milling ofbituminous or portland cement concrete as indicated in the contract documents and as shown on the plans. The Bid Documents for 2025 Right of Way Improvements has been prepared utilizing estimated quantities and is base on unit costs for designated roadways. The quantities may vary. The Village of Suffern reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of work required, also add roadways or eliminate roadways.
