Reference Number 0000393047 The School Board of Palm Beach County, Florida invites Certified Roofing Contractors prequalified by the School Board pursuant to SREF Chapter 4.1 prior to the Bid Due Date to submit a Bid. To be eligible, the vendor must be prequalified for bonding capacity in the amount of the advertised Construction Budget or evidence bonding capacity in that amount prior to the Bid due date. This project entails the complete removal and replacement of the roofing systems at Buildings 1 and 2 of Heritage Elementary School. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: full removal of all existing roofing materials, including insulation and related components as indicated in the construction documents; demolition of the existing underlayment system; temporary removal and reinstallation of mechanical and electrical equipment to accommodate roofing work; legal disposal and clean-up of all construction and demolition debris; construction of new thru-parapet openings for the installation of overflow scuppers; enlargement of existing scupper openings, including saw cutting of parapet walls to accommodate the changes; comprehensive inspection of the underlying roof structure for signs of deterioration or damage; repair or replacement of damaged roof decking as required, based on inspection findings; installation of new roofing underlayment and waterproofing systems in accordance with the specifications, ensuring weather resistance and long-term durability; installation of new flashing, scuppers, and all associated roof drainage components to ensure proper water flow and ventilation; and installation of a new, completely operational, code-compliant lightning protection system.
