Trust for Public Land ("TPL") invites proposals from contractors to complete construction services including all labor, materials, equipment, and facilities necessary to complete the Ontario Community Schoolyard Project, which is a joint project of Trust for Public Land, Ontario County School District 8C, and Alameda Elementary School. Question Deadline 08/04/2025 at 5:00 PM MT: All inquiries, whether relating to the RFP process, administration, deadline or method of award, or to the intent or technical aspects of the RFP must be submitted through the Ask a Question feature 3 PROJECT SUMMARY /GENERAL SCOPEOFWORK TPL issoliciting proposalsfrom qualified and licensed contractorsfor the construction of a schoolyard at Alameda Elementary School and performance of all work included in the Construction Bid Documents, including: asphaltsurfacing, basketball hoops, a portion of existing fence, and several metal play structuresshall be removed within the limit of work. A composite play structure will be relocated within the projectsite. All existing treesshall remain and be protected in place with protective fencing. Paths and asphaltsurfaces are to be graded to meet ADA requirementsfor accessible surfaces. New site elementsinclude play structures with play safety surfacing,site furnishings, and a shade structure. Existing storage units will be relocated. Existing utilitiesto be protected. A new chain-link fence with gates will connect to the existing fence. The project includes new trees with planting soil, mulch, groundcovers and shrubs and hydro-seeding for disturbed lawn areas as necessary. Play structures will be purchased by TPL with receiving, handling, and installation by the Contractor. Before commencement of any work, the selected contractor must furnish TPL with payment, performance, and public works bond documents and certificatesfor any required insurance naming TPL and the School District, asthe property owner, as additional insured at no additional cost to TPL or the School District. The Contractorshall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation,and permits necessary to perform the work asset forth in this Request for Proposal, Scope of Work, and Construction Bid Documents. Upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and before commencing work, the Contractorshall visit the site to verify field conditions. Should variations have arisen since submission of the proposal, between the field conditions and the Construction Documents, the Contractor must notify TPL in writing of any discrepanciesimmediately along with the anticipated impacts on time and cost or lack thereof. Any changes or additional work done without the prior written consentshall be at the Contractors' risk. TPL reservesthe right to add to or delete any work specified in the contract. The Contractor must coordinate all work with the Landscape Architect and TPL
