The scope of work for this project encompasses the complete removal of all existing high bay lighting fixtures within Moreno Arena, located at the Ingalls Event Center. This includes the replacement of these fixtures with new LED high bay lighting fixtures. Additionally, the project entails the removal of existing arena lighting controls and contactor coils, followed by the provision and installation of a new arena lighting control system and lighting control enclosure, in accordance with the project plans. Furthermore, the project includes the provision and installation of new power pedestals as specified in the project plans. There are 30 working days allowed to complete the construction portion of this project. Liquidated damages shall be assessed at $1,000.00 per working day. The project plans have been approved by the City of Norco Building Department, the contractor is responsible for obtaining a building permit with the City for the construction of the project and scheduling inspections with the building inspector in a timely manner. Attention is directed to the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code requiring Contractors to be licensed. No proposal will be accepted from any Contractor unless they are licensed in accordance with the laws of this state. Contractor shall procure all permits incident to the lawful prosecution of the work. Further, the Labor Code of the State of California prohibits a Contractor from performing work on a public works project with a subcontractor who is ineligible pursuant to Section 1777.1 or 1777.7 of said code. The Contractor must possess a valid Contractor's License issued by the Contractor's State Board at the time the bid is submitted. The class of license shall be applicable to the work specified in the contract. The successful bidder shall be licensed according with the provisions of the Business and Professional Code and shall possess a Class A - General Engineering license at the time this contract is awarded. The successful Contractor and his/her subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City of Norco. The proposal prices shall include all costs, including labor, materials, and all other incidental cost to complete the project, in compliance with the Bid and Contract Documents and applicable standards. All other work items not specifically listed in the bid schedule, but necessary to complete the work per bid and contract documents and applicable standards are assumed to be included in the bid prices. BIDDER understands that a bid is required for the entire work, that the quantities set forth in the Bid Schedule are to calculate total bid amount, and that final compensation under the contract will be based upon the actual quantities of work satisfactorily completed. The Contract Documents call for monthly payments based upon the City's approval of work conducted.
