The work consists of: Clearing and Grubbing, removal of old bridge, construction of a Prestressed Concrete bridge with 1@ 31', 1@ 80' and 1@ 31' Prestressed Concrete Beam Spans at 28'0" clear roadway, grading and drainage, erosion control, limestone base and hot mix asphalt base and surface. Contract time for this project is 120 working days. Contractor shall commence work on or before a date to be stipulated in the Notice to Proceed. Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Licensed Mississippi Agent, or Mississippi Non-Resident Agent licensed to do business in the State of Mississippi, with Power of Attorney attached, or Cashier's check or Certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors, must accompany each proposal. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal that is submitted as a stripped bid will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award. This work consists of furnishing, constructing and maintaining wattles for the retention of soil around inlets, swale areas, small ditches, sediment basins and other areas as necessary. Also, the work includes removing and disposing ofthe wattles and silt accumulations. Measurement and payment for wattles will be made only when a pay item is included in the bid schedule of the proposal. The quantity is estimated for bidding purposes only and will be dependent upon actual conditions which occur during construction of the project. This work consists of furnishing and installing deep foundations in accordance with these specifications and in reasonable conformance with the lines, elevations, and spacing’s shown on the plans. It shall also consist offurnishing all required labor, tools, and equipment to determine the bearing value of the deep foundation according to Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) by static load testing, by dynamic load testing, and/or by driving of the specified test piles. This work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to perform all operations to complete the determination of the bearing value of piling using a Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) and associated equipment. The dynamic load testing measurements will be performed in accordance with the plans, Engineers direction and the requirements herein.
