Renovation of a data center facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a data center facility.
Provide construction services associated with upgrades to the existing HVAC system in the CCNY Data Center and other related work. Work includes removals of the existing system components and piping, furnishing and installation of new CRAC units with all associated mechanical, plumbing, electrical and control work, removal and replacement of the existing outdoor chiller and all associated MEP work. Work also includes partial replacement of the ceiling and raised floor tiles. Alternate bid items include installation of the spare CRAC units and Pre-Action system with all related GC and MEP work as shown on the contract documents. All work will take place in the occupied and active Data Center, which will require extensive coordination and protection of the existing equipment. Base Construction Estimate is in the range of $4.5M to $4.8M The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York ("DASNY") has determined that its interest in obtaining the best work at the lowest possible price, preventing favoritism, fraud and corruption, and other considerations such as the impact of delay, the possibility of cost savings advantages and any local history of labor unrest are best met by use of a Project Labor Agreement ("PLA") on this Project. The successful low bidder, as a condition of being awarded this Contract, will be required to execute the PLA described in the Information for Bidders and included in the Contract Documents. See Section 18.0 of the Information for Bidders of the Contract Documents for additional information. All subcontractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA. A purchase of a digital download is required to become a registered plan holder. Printed sets of the Contract Documents are also available to plan holders for an additional cost and may be ordered through the online or by mailing a check.
