Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marquette, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project will replace a 4” 1898 SC water main that is undersized and beyond it’s projected useful life with an 8” DI watermain. Replacement of the line will also include replacement of all service leads. This will benefit both domestic water quality and fire flows in the area. The 1920 6” VCP sanitary sewer main will also replaced with a standard 8” PVC main. The existing main is known to have existing issues. Storm sewer and drain tile will be extended as needed. The road will be reconstructed to modern standards. Sidewalks will be replaced as needed and brought to within ADA compliance. As of July 17,2025 ,This project is included in the city's 2027-2029- Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
