Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Durham, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Through this request for qualification (RFQ), notice is hereby given that the City of Durham, North Carolina, General Services Department is seeking a civil engineering firm to provide professional services for the necessary design work for the renovations of concrete and flush tank repairs Scope: Full design services, including bidding and construction administration phases. Inspect the current tank to identify any internal or subsurface damage that could cause leaks. Offer recommendations for repairing or replacing the pump station tank and piping, the existing safety harness and pulley system, failed sub-grade, and concrete issues. Prepare cost estimates for repairs related to the overall concrete driveway damage at "Old Fire Station #9." Both the Fire Station Maintenance Building and "Old Station #9" are located at 2117 Camden Avenue, Durham, NC 27704. The Total Project Budget for this project is: $250,000 To ensure receipt of any addenda to the RFQ, please contact the person listed above to register as an interested firm. The City is not responsible for providing updated information/changes to firms not known by the City as holding a copy of this RFQ. Question Deadline 08/06/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Any questions regarding this RFQ must be received in writing. Questions received after this date may not receive a response. Questions should be directed to Mike Boyd at mike.boyd@durhamnc.gov and will be answered in an addendum posted online. Questions received by the Department of General Services after this date will not receive a response or be the subject of addenda. This RFQ does not obligate the City to pay any costs incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a response. Furthermore, the RFQ does not obligate the City to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. The City of Durham reserves the right to reject any and all submittals.
