Bidders must submit an original Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Certified Check or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank satisfactory to the Owner, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beaumont in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the largest possible bid amount as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into contract and execute bond and guaranty in the form provided within fourteen (14) calendar days after date of Notice of Award of the contract. Bids without the required financial security deposit will not be considered. This contract shall provide for the rehabilitation of one 1,000,000 gallon legged steel elevated water storage tank for the City of Beaumont, Texas. The tank is located at 3228 Kenneth Avenue. A pre-bid inspection was performed February 13, 2025, see attached. This contract shall include all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, disinfection, structural steel repairs, safety measures, environmental protection, and disposal of surplus items. The contractor shall coordinate with City personnel when removing a tank from service and/or restoring a tank to service.
