Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the demolition of the existing roofing system on Clearwells 1 and 2, and the installation of a new roofing system, roof hatches, safety devices, and accessories on both Clearwells. This project also involves the replacement of the expansion joint sealant system within the interior of Clearwell 2. The Engineer's estimate is: $1,678,500 - $2,051,500 Question Deadline 08/04/2025 at 2:00 PM PT Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted through the Questions Tab no later than three (3) business days before the Bid Answers Due Date All questions submitted prior to the Question cut-off will be answered no later than two (2) business days before the Bid Opening. This Project is deemed a Horizontal Construction Project. After the deadline has passed, the system will not allow Bidders to submit and the server clock will govern. Existing hatch covers shall be temporarily kept on site and protected until completion and acceptance ofthe new hatch installation. Upon acceptance ofthe new installation, Contractor shall dispose ofthe existing hatch covers. b. Procure and install new personnel and equipment roofhatches for both clearwells. A. Remove all existing ballast rock from both existing clearwell roofs, salvaging and re-using a portion for drainage improvements around the perimeters ofthe clearwells. All other ballast rock shall be disposed of off-site by the Contractor. b. Remove all existing roofing membrane, flashing, and accessories from the clearwell roofs. Safety Device Installation a. Procure and install new roof-mounted fall-protection safety davit bases on both clearwells. 4. New Roofing Installation a. Procure and install new self-adhered PVC roofing membrane, cover board, walkpads, flashing, etc. as needed to complete, waterproof and warrant the new roofing installation on both clearwells. 5. Clearwell 2 Interior Expansion Joint Replacements a. Provide confined space access, existing joint sealant hazardous material testing, removal of existing expansion joint sealant on interior faces of Clearwell 2 slab, walls, and stemwalls, and install new "Combiflex SG" joint sealant system on existing expansion joints on interior faces of Clearwell 2 slab, walls, and stemwalls. 6. Coordination Between Projects a. Work under a separate contract will be underway near Clearwell 2 concurrently with this roofing project ("Chalk Bluff Clearwell 2 Finished Water Pipe Repairs" project). Contractor shall coordinate their schedule, attend progress meetings, and work accordingly with the other project to mitigate conflicts and delays. The Work is located at the following location: 1.
