Site work and paving for a road / highway in Canastota, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Paving of various streets in the Village of Canastota. The Village of Canastota is requesting sealed bids for the 2025 street paving project. Interested contractors should provide quotes to pave the following streets: - Prospect Street from E. Hickory Street to 2nd Street (548 feet x 32 feet) - Prospect Street from E. Rasbach St. to State Route 5 (960 feet x 30 feet) - Delano Avenue from 2nd Street to State Route 5 (1,280 feet x 30 feet) - Delano Avenue from First Street to Galavotti Place (290 feet x 25 feet) The winning bidder shall mill 3 inches of the above-listed street pavement and repave said streets using tack coat, 1.5 inches of Type 3 Binder, and 1.5 inches of Modified Binder. The contractor shall provide traffic control personnel and signage for the duration of the project. The Village will retain ownership of any millings. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Contract term: 2025 A bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, bank cashier/teller/treasurer's check payable to the Village of Canastota, or cash in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into. Bid security deposits will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders after the completion of the bid process. A performance bond and labor & materials bond shall be submitted by the successful bidder simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract. The amount of said bond to be 100% of the bid. This bond will assure the Village that the contractor shall perform and fulfill all undertakings, covenants, terms, conditions and agreements of the contract including any duly authorized modifications. The winning bidder must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor and must agree to NYS prevailing wage requirements and other federal, state and local employment requirements. Prevailing Rate Case Number 2025008756. A certificate of insurance for $1,000,000 of coverage must be included in the sealed bid packet Minority- and women-owned businesses are encouraged to bid. The Village of Canastota reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason and readvertise the same.
