Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Hardin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
The Calhoun County Commissioners are seeking requests for sealed bids from qualified Demolition-Asbestos Removal Company's with insurance for two residential homes that qualified for the County implementation of the Flood Hazard Mitigation Assistance Program. As a result of prior flood disasters, the County has been awarded a FEMA Disaster Declaration grant ("FEMA-DR-4489- IL") from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency ("IEMA") and Office of Homeland Security ("OHS"). This Grant is to acquire affected flood-prone residential properties and to demolish and clear any remaining structures, converting the subjected properties to permanent "green space." The Calhoun County Flood Hazard Mitigation Project has allocated funding for the acquisition and demolition asbestos removal for residential properties located in the County outside of the Villages.
