Title: Replace Flooring Bldg. 5, Level 2 NAICS: 236220 Description: Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and qualified supervision necessary to successfully perform work as described in the SOW, Drawings and Specifications for Project 658-25-001 - Replace Flooring B5 L2 at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. Work includes general construction, alterations, finish floor work and incidental demolition plus removal, storage and reinstallation of steam radiators and associated piping. This construction project includes all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to successfully complete the scope of work. Construction schedule: 90 days for bonds, submittals and construction. Summary scope of work: The project includes the replacement of the existing carpet and any vinyl or other flooring beneath the carpet with Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) in existing hallways and rooms on Level 2 of Building 5. In addition, bare concrete flooring is included in scope at an area designated in the project drawings. Both the carpeted and bare floor areas indicated in the drawings shall have Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) installed after installation of the cementitious skim leveling course. A six-inch tile base exists on the majority of the walls of the replacement area including both bare concrete floor and carpeted floor areas, and that tile base must also be demolished and replaced after installation of LVT flooring with 4-inch rubber cove base. The construction time allocated for completion of the work associated with Bid Item I (Base Bid), as described above, is 90 calendar days from notice to proceed (NTP) by the VA.
