The Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) seeks a qualified Contractor to ("Solution Provider") to install, test, and certify a Category 6a (as known as "Cat 6a") structured cabling plant throughout the Hill Street facility that will effectively supports 10gb throughput from edge switches to end-user computer devices. The cabling project will be designed using EIA/TIA 569 standards for telecommunications pathways and spaces. The cabling project will be installed utilizing the current TIA/EIA 568 B/C/E specifications for Category 6a data wiring, with all system components designed for Cat6a performance. Solution Provider will be required to detail the pathways that will be utilized from concentrated IDF locations to the end-point locations on each floor in their cabling plan. The solution provider may choose to utilize existing cable tray in the facility, and will identify in their plan any additional cable tray or other methods used to fasten the cabling to the facility. MSD requests that the solution provider leverage industry experience and technical knowledge to enhance the work product being requested within the scope of this Request for Proposal.
