As of October 31, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The City of Bentonville, Arkansas is accepting formal, sealed bids from properly qualified, applicably licensed and insured, and experienced contractors for the construction, including the supply of necessary labor, materials and equipment, of the intersection improvements at Walton Boulevard and Central Avenue. The project consists of intersection improvements at Walton Boulevard and Central Avenue including dual eastbound and westbound left-turn lanes and northbound and southbound right-turn lanes. The project includes mill and overlay of the existing pavement, full depth pavement widening, and sidewalk relocation or replacement. The project also includes traffic signal reconstruction. The existing storm system within the project limits will be replaced and improved. Specific off-site improvements are also included with the project, for the City of Bentonville Engineering Department. The City encourages all qualified small, minority owned, and women owned business enterprises to submit Bids for capital improvements, projects, and purchases. Encouragement is also made to all general (prime) contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The awarded Bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, insurance, and all other necessary components indicative of the type of work or supply of item(s) or services specified herein and as required to perform the work to 100% completion and/or to deliver all item(s) and/or services to the City as specified. The work shall include all specifications listed below. The awarded contractor shall complete the work to 100% completion. The Project is located within Bentonville City limits. The City has retained Olsson ("Engineer") to act as the City's representative, assume all duties and responsibilities of Engineer, and have the rights and authority assigned to Engineer in the Contract. Preliminary Schedule: Within 10 days after the Effective Date of the Contract (or as otherwise required by the Contract Documents), Contractor shall submit to Engineer for timely review: 1. a preliminary Progress Schedule indicating the times (numbers of days or dates) for starting and completing the various stages of the Work, including any Milestones specified in the Contract; 2. a preliminary Schedule of Submittals; and 3. a preliminary Schedule of Values for all of the Work which includes quantities and prices of items which when added together equal the Contract Price and subdivides the Work into component parts in sufficient detail to serve as the basis for progress payments during performance of the Work. Such prices will include an appropriate amount of overhead and profit applicable to each item of Work. Preconstruction Conference: Prior to commencing any work at the project site, a Preconstruction Conference shall be held with the City, the Contractor, the Engineer, and other relevant stakeholders to establish a clear understanding of project expectations. This meeting will cover project scope, key milestones as referenced herein, procedures for submitting and reviewing Shop Drawings, Samples, and other required documentation, as well as the process for submitting and approving Applications for Payment, electronic communications, and maintaining project records QA : The City does not give out budgetary information while a solicitation is open. The signal department does require some additional wiring. The additional line item can be added to the contract once selected and the project begins by a work change directive.
