Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Saint-Georges, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Construction of a second bridge crossing over the Chaudière River in Saint-Georges. According to the preliminary studies the new bridge will follow a corridor located on the axis of 74th Street of the City. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary. Taking into consideration that the population of Saint-Georges is growing with more than 34,000 people in 2025 and there are more than 25,000 daily crossings on the on the existing David-Roy Bridge, the Quebec government has launched a feasibility study to improve mobility and safety in Saint-Georges. The study will compare different routes using a comprehensive analysis framework, including impacts on traffic, the environment, safety, and land use planning. The results are expected by the end of 2026. Scope of work, budget and timelines of the project development are being finalized. Note. Value of the project is not determined and is an estimate.
