Project is no longer needed.** The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (Authority) seeks a qualified contractor to restore and repaint all exterior painted surfaces of the Boingo Station, a key hub within the Las Vegas Monorail system. Strategically located at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), the Boingo Station serves as a critical access point for convention attendees and visitors navigating the Las Vegas Strip. Question Cut Off Date : 8/6/2025 03:00 PM (PT) BID 25-4854 PWP-CL-2025-466 Bidder will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to restore and paint on all exterior painted surfaces of the Boingo Station, including the platform undersides, fascia, structural supports, and exposed railings. The approximate square footage of the area within this scope is 105,500, which must be field verified by the Bidder during the pre-bid conference or an inspection of the area prior to bid submission. All work must comply with the operational constraints of the Las Vegas Monorail system and be carried out with appropriate safety and staging measures. 1. SURFACE TREATMENT AND PAINTING POWER WASHING a. Clean all designated exterior surfaces thoroughly, including but not limited to walls, handrails, structural supports, and metal grates, to remove accumulated dirt, grime, mildew, and any loose or peeling paint. b. Utilize eco-friendly, biodegradable cleaning agents that comply with all applicable local and state environmental regulations. c. Ensure allsurfaces are fully dry before proceeding with surface preparation, priming, or painting to guarantee proper adhesion and a high-quality finish. 2. SURFACE PREPARATION a. Prepare all designated surfaces, including but not limited to walls, railings, structural elements, and metal fixtures, to ensure proper adhesion and a durable finish. b. Scrape, sand, and smooth surfaces to eliminate old paint, irregularities, and imperfections. c. Repair all visible holes, cracks, and other structural or cosmetic defects using suitable filler or repair materials. d. For metal surfaces, remove rust completely and apply rust-inhibiting treatments to prevent future corrosion and ensure long-term protection. e. Remove and replace all joint sealant on metal panels with new backer rod and paintable sealant. 3. MASKING AND PROTECTION a. Carefully mask all non-painted elements, including but not limited to windows,signage, lighting fixtures, surveillance cameras, and electrical components, to avoid unintended paint application. b. During the work, protect all adjacent surfaces, surrounding property, and station equipment from overspray, debris, and possible damage. c. Utilize suitable masking materials and protective coverings to create clean lines and maintain the integrity of all unaffected surfaces. 4. PRIMING AND PAINTING a. Use a high-quality primer suitable for the specific surface type, such as metal, concrete, and previously painted substrates, to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the finish. b. Use high-quality, durable gray paint that complements the existing buildings and structures on the LVCC campus. The paint must have a flat or metallic finish (both require separate bid amounts, but only one will be selected), be designed for outdoor applications, and be capable of withstanding environmental conditions. The final paint color must be approved in writing by the Authority's Project Manager prior to application. c. Use the most appropriate application methods--such as brush, roller, or spray--according to surface conditions and manufacturer recommendations. d. Apply multiple coats as necessary to obtain complete, consistent coverage and a uniform, professional look across all treated surfaces. Removal of Old Rubber Joint Seal & Replacement With New, Paint Escalator Canopy (3rd Level to 2nd Level, to include Tickets Level), Rust Abatement & Paint Mezzanine Fence (Exterior) & All Railing Addendum No. 2 is hereby issued and shall be deemed incorporated into and forms a part of Bid No. 26-4854, PWP-CL-2025-466, Monorail Boingo Station Painting. This Addendum provides additional information to all prospective Bidders regarding the revised Monorail Logo Detail and includes the transcript of the pre-bid conference and site inspection conducted on July 31, 2025. The purpose of this Addendum No. 1 is to provide the Teams meeting information to record tomorrow’s pre-bid conference and site inspection, parking instructions, and directions for participants attending the pre-bid conference and site inspection associated with this solicitation.
