Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
The University of South Carolina is seeking quotes from qualified and reliable contractors to replace the 2 sand filters for the outdoor pool at the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center. The pool is 115,000 gallons; and the turnover rate needs to be every 6 hours. Quotes should include the following: o Removal of existing filters and media, with haul-off from facility with use of vacuum truck. o Installation of (2) new Hayward HCF bobbin-wound fiberglass 48" HCF348C sand filters, media, piping and start-up. o Include sand and gravel to recommended freeboard levels, installation of new multiport valves, and interconnecting manifold with all necessary valves, piping, supports, and hardware needed, to tie into existing pressure side and return plumbing; startup and operational testing upon completion QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 07/24/25 at 9:00 AM ET
