Streetlight Installation Project Questions must be received no later than Wednesday, July 30, 2023. A certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond in the amount often percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Exeter will be required to accompany each proposal. Background: The City of Exeter desires to establish a contract with a Contractor to install City furnished streetlights on existing foundations. The awarded Contractor shall be provided an Authorization to Proceed to begin work. Upon authorization, the Contractor shall complete the work within 30 working days unless extenuating circumstances exist. Contractor's Responsibilities:Contractor shall provide all mobilization and demobilization, equipment, labor, tools, materials and supervision to remove and dispose of existing equipment, install new equipment, and complete work in a timely fashion. All work to be done shall have prior approval of the City of Exeter. Contractor will also be responsible for obtaining any necessary permits that may be required for the project and scheduling for inspections prior to beginning any work. A no-fee City of Exeter Encroachment Permit will be provided for the work and the traffic control. All safety practices shall be followed according to OSHA standards. Contractor shall be responsible for cleanup and disposal of all material around site area on a daily basis. All work shall be commensurate with the highest professional standards and shall be performed with the public's safety in mind by a licensed contractor. The Contractor shall begin work within Ten (10) days after receiving notice that the contract has been approved (Notice to Proceed) and shall diligently prosecute the same to final completion of the total project Thirty (30) working days after that work begins (mobilization)
