Items of work include clearing & grubbing, grading, linear ditch grading, fence replacement, soil cement, roadbed reclamation, base repair, leveling, and D.B.S.T. overlay, on approximately 7.647 miles of existing roadways. Proposal shall be submitted on Bid Forms provided with the specifications. Bids may be submitted in person, or for those interested, bids can be electronically submitted at online under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered. For sealed bids, the current Certificate of Responsibility Number of the bidder shall appear on the outside of each sealed envelope containing a proposal, said envelope being plainly marked Bid for Base Repair, Leveling, Overlay, & Striping of Blackjack Road. If submitting electronically, please include this information on a cover page with your bid submission. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond/security deposit or certified check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid, payable to Oktibbeha County as bid security. In the event that an electronic bid is submitted, a copy of the bid bond must be included with the submission. If submitting electronically, a hard copy of all bid documents must be provided within 3 business days if requested after the bid opening. Aperformance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% ofthe accepted bid along with a certificate ofinsurance with the limits depicted by the proposal is required. Upon review and acceptance, award of the Proposal will be by an executed Board Order ofOktibbeha County authorizing the work to be performed.
