Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a civil project in Carthage, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of improvements and additions to existing processes and components of the Carthage Water Treatment plant. In general, the main work items include repainting an existing steel DAF tank, replacement of existing vertical turbine pumps at the filter pump station, addition of new membrane filter skids with replacements modification of existing piping, abandonment of an existing 50,000 gallon steel chlorine contact tank and associated chemical feed point modifications, replacement of existing gas chlorinators, replacement of existing SCADA system hardware, and repair and coating of portions of the concrete slab damaged by treatment process chemicals. There is not a pre-bid conference for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
