A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Construction of the E Weatherspoon Floodplain Culvert including all materials, equipment, installation, testing, labor, and incidental for all work for a complete working system as required by the Plans and Specifications. With request for the Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person, street address, and phone and fax numbers for Bidding office; NC contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. Address Bids to the Owner at address listed below: Owner: City of Sanford, North Carolina, 225 E Weatherspoon Street, Sanford, NC 27330. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the bid amount. Security may be in the form of cash, certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Sanford or a bid bond issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in North Carolina. The deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award of contract or fails to give satisfactory surety as required herein. Failure to comply with these requirements may be grounds for rejection of bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the bid that appears to be in the best interest of the City, or provided by law. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after the scheduled bid opening. This project is being funded in whole or in part by federal grants. All recipients of federally funded grants or federal assistance to support procurements must comply with the applicable provision of the Federal procurement standards 2 C.F.R. part 200. As result, firms awarded federally funded contracts by City of Sanford must comply with the contract provisions set forth in Appendix A of the specifications, unless a particular award term or condition specifically indicates otherwise.
