A. The Owner is the Town of Fort Mill, South Carolina. B. The work to be performed consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the completion of the work and other improvements as outlined in the specifications and contract documents including: 1. Trenchless rehabilitation of approximately 1,301 linear feet of existing gravity sewer lines by Pipe Bursting process, manhole rehabilitation and other improvements. 2. The construction of approximately 1,365 linear feet of 6" water line and appurtenances and other improvements. C. The approximate property limits for construction are detailed on the drawings. Construction shall be staged accordingly to protect surrounding property. D. Construction shall be staged to maintain existing water and sewer service at all times and to minimize impacts to the surrounding property owners. E. Erosion control measures shall be installed prior to commencing any construction activities. All erosion controls measures and BMPs shall be properly maintained. F. The Contractor shall have a superintendent on site at all times that work (either General Contractor or subcontractor working) is being performed. If the superintendent cannot be there during the work time, an assistant superintendent can fulfill these duties. Each superintendent or assistant superintendent that is in responsible charge shall be an OSHA competent person. G. The Engineer's decision shall be final, binding and conclusive.
