The City of Escalon ("city") Invites Qualified, Available and Interested Firm(S) to Submit Written Proposals to Provide Contract General City Engineering Services. The Development and Community Services Department Manages and Operates All Community Development Efforts, Including Planning, Building Safety, and Engineering Activities. The Department Acts as a Clearinghouse for Development Projects, Coordinating Plan Submittals With All Pertinent Divisions, Departments and Agencies. The Development and Community Services Manager Currently Oversees the Various Activities and Personnel Within the Department. The Engineering Division is Responsible for the Coordination, Plan Check and Construction Inspection of All Public Improvements Through Development Projects; Plans, Engineers and Designs Capital Improvement Projects, Reviews Subdivision Maps, Parcel Maps, Plot Line Adjustments and All Legal Property Description Changes. The Engineering Division Reviews Maps, Environmental Documentation, and Proposed Plans and Develops and Implements Master Plans for Water, Sewer, Storm Drainage, Streets and Traffic Circulation Patterns and Designs to Ensure All Are Built in Accordance With City, County, and State Standards and Specifications. This Department Also Manages the Design and Construction of Capital Projects for the City. Does this imply the prime proposer should have in-house grant writers or utilize subconsultant grant writers in one prime proposal Or, can a firm propose solely and independently on providing only grant writing services If only the former case, I would welcome offering subconsultant grant writing services to prime proposers who can reach me at my contact information below. If the latter, I would be interested in submitting my own proposal. The City is currently seeking proposals from engineering firms to provide civil engineering services. Occasionally, assistance with grant writing is also required as part of the scope of work. Engineering firms may utilize in-house grant writers or subcontract with a consultant for these services. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
