Description

This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Los Angeles, California. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Work will be performed on the roof of a 3-story building. Fall protection equipment is required as well as hard hats, gloves, safety boots, safety glasses, and high visibility attire. POLA does not have space to store the chiller. Contractor is to take delivery of the chiller and store it at their facility, then bring it to the job site on the day of installation. Lock out/tag out electrical to equipment to be replaced. Recover refrigerant per EPA rule 1415. Remove piping, electrical, and seismic fasteners from chiller. Utilize crane to rig old chiller from rooftop and the new chiller to the rooftop. Anchor chiller per structural calculations. Make pipe connections with new trim. Insulate piping to match existing fiberglass w/ aluminum jacket. Terminate line power and control power. Setup network communications with existing Carrier i-Vu. Start machine and check operations. Work to be performed after-hours, preferably on weekends, so as not to disrupt weekday operations and for safety reasons. Contractor to provide traffic control on the day of the crane pick PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS. Successful bidder will be required to post a Faithful Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each for 50% of the total contract price.
