A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** For the furnishing of labor, equipment, and materials required for the 2025 Sycamore Street Remediation Project in Xenia, Ohio, according to the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, and Specifications included with the bid packets. The scope of the Work for this Project involves the removal of impacted soil, in-situ chemical oxidation, and monitoring well abandonment at 249 Sycamore Street, Xenia, Ohio. Removed soil shall be properly disposed of offsite in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Remedial activities are being completed in pursuit of a No Further Action and Covenant-not-to-sue from the OEPA, pursuant to the OEPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP). All remedial activities shall be completed in accordance with OEPA VAP requirements, BUSTR requirements, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: removal and disposal of contaminated soil, in-situ chemical oxidation, monitoring well abandonment, provision of clean soil for backfill, seeding and mulching. all in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, and Specifications included in the bid packets. Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Xenia, or a letter of credit issued in accordance with ORC Chapter 1305., in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The bid guaranty or bid bond shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions contained in ORC Chapter 4115 governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on this Project and ORC 153.59 regarding non discrimination.
