**As of September 10, 2025, the project was awarded to V & R Hughes Enterprises, Inc, with an awarded amount of $529,600.00.** Notice is hereby given that the City of Ardmore, Oklahoma, will receive and open sealed bids for the construction of 2025 CONCRETE LABOR PROJECT a contract which provides for the repair, construction and finishing of concrete pavements, storm sewers and related structures throughout the City limits of Ardmore, Oklahoma. PCC Pavement 6-Inch. The pavement shall be paid for by the square yard of 6-inch pavement. Thicker pavements shall be prorated as additional fractions of square yards. The pavement work shall include installation of dowel bars, placement of provided concrete, finishing, and joint installation. For a standard 24 foot wide residential street, 2 continuous longitudinal sawcut joints and a transverse sawcut joint every 12 feet shall be required. 2.2 PCC Integral Curb and Gutter. Includes forming and finishing of the specified curb and gutter. In general, integral curbs and gutters shall not be used where separate curbs and gutter structures can be used. 2.3 PCC Curb and Gutter. This item includes a City standard 2 foot (base width) structure with 8-inch curb. 2.4 PCC Sidewalk. This item includes a formed 4-inch thick residential-style sidewalk. The width and length will be specified by the City in the field. 2.5 PCC Driveway. This item includes a formed 4-inch thick residential-style driveway. The work also includes dowel into the existing or new curb and gutter or street pavement and the placement of reinforcing in the transition apron from the back face of the gutter to not less than 8 feet into the driveway structure itself. 2.6 Structural Concrete. This work includes construction of necessary special forms to build or emplace storm sewer inlet boxes or similar structures, the placement of concrete therein, and the stripping of forms once the work is completed. Utility Cuts. This work includes the placement and finishing of concrete patches for utility cuts. This work may include concrete or asphalt pavement saw-cutting, dowels to existing concrete pavement and concrete finishing. The Contractor may expect the sizes of these utility cuts to be relatively small, in the range of 2 to 10 square yards. 2.8 Associated Administration, Scheduling, Supervision, Inspections and Contractor Quality Control Testing. These elements of the work are essential but secondary to the actual line construction. These tasks shall be included, for the purposes of compensation, within the cost of other bid prices. This task or group of tasks include environmental protection measures, site housekeeping, and safety procedures. All bids timely received shall be considered by the City prior to a Contract being awarded. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, before the time set for opening of bids, as well as bids received after the time set for opening of bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. The Bidder shall honor the quoted prices for a period of 60 days from the time the bids are opened. Bid security in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a Surety Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany the sealed Bid of each Bidder. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful Bidders. The Bidder shall only use the City s Bid Proposal and affidavits or photocopies thereof. All forms must be signed and all affidavits sworn to and notarized. All bids shall be typewritten or in ink. Bidder shall file the bid in a sealed envelope. Each envelope shall bear a legible notation thereon that it is a bid upon the project proposed and the name of the Bidder. All questions as to the acceptable fulfillment of the Contract by the CONTRACTOR The Successful Bidder shall deliver the executed Contract and Bonds together with the certificates of insurance, all as required in the Contract Documents, to the City no later than fifteen (15) calendar days following the City s notification of its intent to award the Contract, unless that time is extended by the City. The City may issue addenda as may be necessary in the best interest of the public and the City. Addenda may amend the date and/or time for receipt of bids or any specification, item, document or requirement in the Contract Documents upon notice to all prospective Bidders who have purchased Contract Documents for this project. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest and best Bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive immaterial defects and irregularities or award the bid by item/schedule or all/none as it deems to be in the best interest of the City.
