Renovation of an educational facility in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a primary / secondary education facility.

* No bid amount to be released for publication. SCOPE OF WORK ~ SUMMARY: 1). Isolate and drain down existing boiler plant, and remove the old PK ~ Thermific #N1700C boiler c/w associated venting, HWS/HWR feeds, old boiler pump, condensate drainage, gas line feed, gas regulator & associated gas relief piping, line/control wiring. Salvage existing boiler pump with the ADSB Plant Dept. 2). Obtain the two existing PK MACH C-750 boilers that are currently being stored at the ADSB Plant Dept., and bring to site and install in Boiler Room. 3). Modify and add to existing concrete house-keeping pad, to accommodate new boiler plant layout. Provide mesh reinforcing and dowel in new concrete pad to existing concrete pad; and seal & paint concrete house-keeping pads (existing & new). 4). Conduct asbestos abatement on all existing piping insulation that is indicated to be removed or modified and required to be tied into it to suit new layout. Refer to attached Asbestos Report. 5). Supply & install new thermally insulated hydronic piping, check valves, strainers, fittings, etc. to suit new boiler plant layout. 6). Supply & install new boiler pumps, new boiler flue venting, and new magnetic air/dirt separator. 7). Provide new thermal pipe insulation c/w white PVC vinyl jacketing, for all new and/or modified piping; along with identification labelling. 8). Conduct a chemical cleaning & flushing of the new Boiler Plant & new piping, as well as the existing old school hydronic piping, heaters, & systems. 9). Provide conventional boiler system controls under Base Bid. (Refer to S.P.O.#1 for new BMS Controls). 10). Conduct a boiler factory-startup & commissioning for each of these two PK MACH boilers.
