Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Markham, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

1. Removal and disposal off site, of existing backstop and outfield fence. All materials including concrete footings must be removed and disposed of offsite, except as stated below in item 2. Any removed material that can be recycled should be disposed of at a recycling facility; 2. Coordination with City is required during fence removal at Cornell Park baseball diamonds. A total of 160m of chain link fencing material is to be rolled up and 55 posts to be preserved for Operations use. Operations to be on site while fencing is being removed to facilitate selection of posts, please provide 24 hours notice prior to post removal, to ensure City's presence on site; 3. Installation of 4 sideline bullpen mounds, 4 pitching mounds, 4 Mar-Co home plates, 4 Mar-Co pitching rubbers and 4 catcher's boxes using RedKit, at Cornell Park Baseball diamonds, two of each in East and West fields. Contractor to follow Mar-Co specifications for installation; 4. At Bishop's Cross baseball diamond there is a requirement to shift one post away from the subgrade drainage pipe as directed on site by City. Removal of post and fill of post hole indicated in L-2 and Attachment B-2b Image 1, is required. Please provide 24 hours notice prior to relocating post hole, to ensure City's presence on site; 5. Ensure that height of backstop fencing matches existing maximum height, or is same height as detail (whichever is taller), in order to meet or overlap the netting lowest point; 6. All construction access to be limited to indicated path, unless otherwise approved by the City, to avoid impact to the trees on site; 7. All work to be conducted within the construction fence; 8. Contractor to install tree protection fencing and hoarding per Arborist report and TPP provided; 9. Contractor to provide engineered shop drawings for all new fencing and concrete footings. Ensure compliance with all drawings and specifications; 10. All gates and openings to remain the same width and at the same locations; 11. Any damage incurred on City property as a result of fencing installation will be the responsibility of the fencing Contractor; 12. Contractor shall be responsible for all utility locates and stake outs; and 13. The Contractor shall be responsible to repair/replace any damages to the asphalt and/or clay surfaces of the diamonds or park at no additional cost to the City.
