Renovation of a water / sewer project in Houma, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Parish is soliciting qualification statements for engineering services to assist the Parish in the design of a safe room for 10 essential personnel who must remain in the parish during weather events to run the treatment plant. This project is funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and as such must meet the ASCE-24-14, and the FEMA 361 guidance requirements for design, construction and documentation in two phases. The Parish will also be hiring a second, unrelated firm through this procurement to provide peer review of the engineering design work to determine compliance with building code and FEMA requirementsincluding FEMA P-361. The selected engineering design firm must deliver the plan and consider, respond to, and resolve the findings of the peer review within the period of performance which will be negotiated upon contracting, and end prior to March 31, 2026. TPCG, through this RFQ, will be identifying engineering firms deemed qualified and eligible to perform work within Terrebonne Parish. The selection of the firms will be based on the strength of the firms' qualifications in study, design, flood control improvements, and familiarity with coastal conditions and federal requirements.
