Only written questions submitted through website shall be consider official. A Bid Opening will be held in the RTA Board Room. RTA in accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 26 has an obligation to ensure nondiscrimination of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and to comply with all federal, state and local regulations relative to utilization of DBEs on publicly funded projects. The RTA is committed to utilization of DBEs on all federally funded projects toward attainment of the agency's established overall goal of 31%. Project Description: The Regional Transit Authority of New Orleans invites qualified vendors to provide the installation Hydraulic Barrier Arm Operators at the Canal Street facility & 3900 Desire Parkway, Maintenance Building specifications in IFB 2025-019. Security control arms are needed at the Canal Street Facility for the Bienville Street bus entrance. Contractor will install two (2) new Barrier Arm Operators with Control Boxes to open gates independently, and a master switch to lock all gates in the event of an emergency. This will require a new aluminum rigid conduit to be run underground from the guard shack building to each gate operator, as well as having a new dedicated circuit tied into the main power feed of the building. The Contractor will need to saw cut each driveway for the installation of conduit per NFPA and NEC requirements, to protect the circuits due to the weight of vehicles, new safety loops as well as install photo beams as an additional safety precaution. Contractor will also ensure Barrier Arm Operators and Control Boxes will accommodate the installation of an Access Control S2 Micro node that will be installed and program by a different vendor. Contractor to provide training. The contractor will provide the client with a timeline of the proposed start and completion dates prior to the commencement date of the project for concurrence. The contractor must have the proper equipment, material, and technical expertise to remove and install two (2) independently operated Barrier Arm Operators to meet the requested specifications to properly complete the project to the satisfaction of the client. The contractor will ensure that the system is functioning properly prior to the completion of the project to meet the satisfaction of the client. The contractor must remove all equipment and debris from the work site after the completion of the project to the satisfaction of the client. The contractor must restore the site to a neat condition after the completion of the project to the satisfaction of the client. The contractor must place safety cones at the worksite to prevent accidents while at the work site. The installation of the security arms will require coordination with the Physical Security department project manager and the security guard at the Bienville Street entrance. The contractor shall provide a seven-day notice for the start of Its work and must work around busses entering and exiting the parking lot. The work week is Monday through Friday. The contractor must prevent any interruptions at the work site that may cause delays in vehicles entering the rear gate during hours of operations. The contractor will notify the client's project manager of any unforeseen circumstances that may prevent a delay in scheduled work. The selected contractor must provide a one-year warranty on installation and workmanship. Equipment installed should be covered under the manufacturer's warranties. Provide all manuals, equipment literature, and warranty Information associated with the scope of work.
