A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work covered by the specifications consists of demolition of underground infrastructure, surface asphalt and concrete pavements, concrete and steel bulkhead walls, remnant reinforced concrete structures, and other miscellaneous site demolition. Removal and salvage of existing trees. Mass re-grading of site earthwork to prepare a more level subgrade for the future park development, including placement of embankment soil in future lawn areas. Engineer's Estimate Base Bid: $1,080,000.00 Alternate: $160,000.00 Total Estimate: $1,240,000.00 Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time. If any person contemplating submitting a BID for the proposed PROGRAM/PROJECT is in doubt as to the meaning of any part of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, they may submit through online a written request for interpretation thereof. In the case of disruption of national communications or loss of services by online within two hours prior to the deadline for submission of bids, the city will delay the deadline for bid submissions to ensure the ability of potential bidders to submit bids.
