Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a detention facility in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Completed plans call for the addition of a detention facility; for the demolition of a detention facility; for the renovation of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
This project consists of an addition and interior renovation to the existing Morrow County Correctional Facility and Sherriff's Office that was built in 1996. The addition is a new housing unit addition of approximately 4,250 SF on the north side of the existing facility. The new housing unit addition will utilize CMU block cell construction to add 24 new beds to the facility. There will also be various interior renovations to the existing interior space of the jail. The interior renovations consist of repurposing of the current men's dorm room space and upgrades to the central control room. The scope of work includes demolition, concrete, masonry, structural steel, casework, roofing, skylights, insulated metal panels, doors, framing & drywall, floor covering, painting, specialties, signage, detention equipment, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, sitework, and fences
