Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Murphy Lake, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 140-bed elderly care / assisted living facility.
Construction of two (2) new Long-Term Care facilities: 144 bed facility in Kings County, and 96 bed facility in the Town of Westville, Pictou County TIMELINE: The Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care is looking to select up to two (2) organizations to provide the facilities and services required to support the provision of new Level II Nursing Home beds. The intent of this RFP is to obtain proponent(s) capable of constructing the facility according to Appendix G - Facility Design Requirements, including space requirements, Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) considerations, and energy efficiency targets, in a manner feasible within the delivery timeframe, and operating that facility for the duration of the Service Agreement. The services required under this contract include the site procurement, facility design, construction and occupancy of a facility meeting the Long-Term Care Facility Design Requirements (Appendix G), as well as all services required for the delivery of the development/implementation phase, operations and maintenance of the facilities, the development and delivery of resident care programs and resident services to the standards and requirements of the Department.
