Sealed proposals are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the rehabilitation and construction of the Lemonwood and Pipestone Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project. Electronic proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total proposal price. (Or, if providing SAWS with a cashier's check or certified check in an amount not less than five percent of the total proposal price, SAWS will request this within 24 hours from the Respondent who did not submit a bid bond). Bid date notes: Respondents will need to submit a request by 10:00 AM (CDT), September 8, 2025 to receive access to the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site via email to Janie.Powell@saws.org. Respondent's email requesting access to the FTP site shall provide the legal name of the Respondent's company and the intended recipient's email address and phone number. No requests for FTP site access will be accepted after 10:00 AM (CDT), September 8, 2025. The SBOP goal on this project is 10% This Summary of Work is included as part of this Solicitation to provide a general basis for Respondents to determine what is reasonably comparable. The work consists of, but not limited to, the following: Lemonwood Ground Storage Tank o Draining of the GST to remove all water once Owner has pumped the tank down to the lowest possible level. o Complete blasting and recoating of the existing 1.0 MG (million gallon) steel ground storage tank exterior and interior surfaces, including exposed piping. o Repair or replacement of tank roof rafters and stiffeners. o Demolish existing and install new interior ladder and safety climb system. o Improvements to the ground storage tank including new access hatch, replacement of the existing tank access ladder and vandal guard, installation of new roof platform and railing, replacement of the tank roof vent, removal and replacement of manways. o All miscellaneous improvements for a complete in-place facility, per the contract documents. Pipestone Ground Storage Tank o Draining of the GST to remove all water once Owner has pumped the tank down to the lowest possible level. o Complete blasting and recoating of the existing 3.0 MG (million gallon) steel ground storage tank exterior and interior surfaces, including valve vault and exposed piping. o Replacement of tank overflow weir. o Demolish existing and install new interior ladder and safety climb system. o Improvements to the ground storage tank including new access hatch, relocation of existing vandal guard, installation of new roof platform and railing, replacement of the tank roof vents, removal and replacement of the manways. o All miscellaneous improvements for a complete in-place facility, per the contract documents.
