Fisheries and Oceans Canada owns, operates, and maintains a Canadian Coast Guard Base at 370 Dalhousie Street in Amherstburg, Ontario. The facility supports the operation of a number of departmental programs including aids to navigation, fleet, marine search and rescue, air support, maritime and civil infrastructure, and administration of the Amherstburg sub-district operations of the Canadian Coast Guard. Guardrails and handrails are to meet strict accessibility design standards. Aluminum expanded metal mesh will also be installed within existing ornamental fence panels. All Work including shop drawing submission and review, material procurement, fabrication, and installation is required to be completed within ten (10) weeks of the Contract Award date. This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders; second phase (Phase 2) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of contract in Phase Two the pre-qualification list will be terminated, no additional contracts will be awarded.
