Wolfe County Fiscal Court is seeking qualified contractors to replace 63windows in accordance with the final design approved by the State HistoricPreservation Office (SHPO). This project involves the removal of existingwindows and the installation of historically appropriate, energy-efficient replacements that fully comply with local codes and preservation standards. This project is funded in part with federal assistance and is subject to BuildAmerica, Buy America (BABA) and DavisBacon Act (DBA) compliancerequirements . Scope of Work The selected contractor will be responsible for: o Removing and properly disposing of 63 existing windows o Procuring and installing 63 replacement windows in accordance with theSHPO-approved design o Matching historical appearance, profiles, and materials per SHPO requirements o Providing temporary protection to prevent weather intrusion and damageto interiors o Sealing, insulating, and finishing each window opening o Ensuring full compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards forRehabilitation 3. Federal Compliance Requirements 3.1 Build America, Buy America (BABA) This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) underthe Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project must beproduced in the United States unless a waiver has been granted. Bidders must: o Certify compliance with BABA o Provide documentation demonstrating domestic origin of windows and allother relevant construction materials o Ensure subcontractor and supplier compliance with BABA provisions
