The Columbus County Schools East View PK-8 project includes the construction of a new 117,799 square foot educational campus serving grades Pre-K through 8. The campus will consist of a two-story main building housing classroom, administrative offices, a media center, gymnasium, and cafeteria, as well as two pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) supporting auxiliary educational and athletic functions. Key features of the main building include a concrete slab-on-grade foundation, structural steel framing, and a roof system composed of exposed steel beams with metal decking, some of which may include acoustical treatment depending on the space use. The project scope also includes kitchen equipment installation and comprehensive site development, including a geothermal well field, access drives, parking for buses and cars, and concrete sidewalks.
