Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Springfield, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of the following: Demolition of an existing bridge and the construction of a new 3-cell box culvert with roadway realignment work, paving, and any incidental work in accordance with the plans and specification. The project is located in Section 5, Township 30, Range 22W, Greene County, Missouri. The total length of improvements along the centerline of Farm Road 117 is approximately 459 feet. All bidders must have a fully responsive contractor questionnaire on file with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) at least seven (7) days prior to the bid opening date. The Wage Rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in the bid proposal. When Federal wage rates are applicable and included, this contract is subject to the "Work Hours Act of 1962" (P.L. 87-581; 76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. By virtue of statutory authority, preference shall be given on other than Federal Aid Projects to materials, products, supplies, provisions, and other articles produced, manufactured, made, or grown within the State of Missouri where same are of a suitable character and can be obtained at reasonable market prices in the State, are of a quality suited to the purpose intended and can be secured without additional cost over foreign products or products of other states. The Greene County Commission hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry or national origin in consideration for an award. Bidders are informed that all contractors are subject to full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations and the requirements of the Equal Opportunity Act as it is not the ntent of the owner to arbitrarily dismiss any authorities. The Greene County Highway Department assumes no liability for ensuring that the documents mailed or shipped will arrive in time for bid preparation. The character and amount of security to be furnished by bidders is stated in the contract documents mentioned above. Proposals must be on forms provided and all unit price bids, extensions and total provided thereon shall be completed fully. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The DBE Goal for this project is 3% No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. ** bid date info : All bids shall be submitted as a hard copy. The Greene County Highway Department assumes no liability for mailed or shipped bids failing to arrive prior to the closing of bids. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded as having received the bidding documents. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding; the County will not be responsible for oral clarifications. Any alternate material shall be approved before bid opening and in enough time to issue an addenda. No alternates will be approved unless approved in an addenda.
