The University of Wisconsin - Parkside is undertaking a major greenhouse replacement project, managed by the Wisconsin Division of Facilities Development (DFD). This initiative involves demolishing the existing greenhouse and constructing a new 6,300-square-foot facility, complete with a connector to the existing Headhouse and integration with district steam, mechanical, and electrical systems. Contractors bidding on this project must be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Administration and follow a single prime contracting model, where the General Prime Contractor (GPC) will subcontract with DFD-identified mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) firms. The project spans 455 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion expected by February 2027.
