Demolition, site work and new construction of a library in Hollins Clg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a library; for site work for a library; and for the demolition of a library.
Plans call to redevelop the existing Hollins Library, including selective demolition and appropriate building additions, consistent with a service model already implemented at the South County, Glenvar, and Vinton locations. The redeveloped Hollins Library will be an inviting public space, less architectural in nature, easing long-term maintenance issues, focusing on sight lines, and provide maker spaces and technology focused areas. As of April 15, 2026, Construction is anticipated to start in June 2026 with completion being Spring or Summer 2027. Funding has been allocated. This project is currently being bid out to subcontractors.
