Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project involves construction services for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and quality control to complete the work. The scope includes the addition of telecommunication rooms throughout the Damen, Atrium, Temp (32), Taylor, Ogden, and Bed Pavilion buildings. Work includes selective demolition; installation, testing, and certification of Cat6a cabling; emergency electrical distribution system improvements such as power distribution panels, lighting, controls, receptacles, grounding-bonding, and UPS systems; upgrades to physical security and access control systems; and finishes for walls, floors, and ceilings in new or altered rooms. All work must comply with safety and infection control standards and result in a complete, compliant, and fully functional infrastructure upgrade. Location: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612. VAAR Magnitude of Construction: $20,000,000 to $50,000,000 Questions of a technical nature must be provided in writing and must be submitted by the prospective offerors to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist. The subject line must read: JESSE BROWN VAMC - EHRM INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES - TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. Oral questions of a technical nature are not acceptable due to the possibility of misunderstanding or misinterpretation.
