Work components include, but are not limited to: the installation and maintaining of temporary bypass pumping; construction of short lengths of new sewer lines and force main; demolition of and reconstruction of the Fairfax Road Lift Station complete with all appurtenances; construction of lift station site improvements such as grading, aggregate base surfacing, and paving; masonry walls and retaining walls; chain link fencing; furnishing and installing all electrical and electrical standby system items and coordination with the utility company; testing and adjusting of equipment, and all other items necessary to complete the project and as specified herein. The work to be performed consists, in general, of the rehabilitation of an existing lift station, referred to herein as the Fairfax Road Lift Station. The Fairfax Road Lift Station is located on the Fairfax Road, 300 feet north of Paladino Drive, in Bakersfield.
