Renovation of a municipal facility in Canton, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Bid envelopes shall be marked: "Stark County Commissioners- Stark County Regional Planning Commission - Interior Renovations". Bids will be received for: General Contract and Furniture Contract Bidders of record are those who have signed the bidders list, obtained specifications, and paid the prescribed fee Work shall be completed in 300 calendar days after notice to proceed. The County is not responsible if documents are received too late for timely bid. In the case of corporations not chartered in Ohio, the bid shall be accompanied by a proper certificate of the Secretary of State, certifying that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of: (1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid;or (2) a bid and performance guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. All bid guaranties shall be on condition that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper Contract shall be executed, and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the County inan amount not to exceed ten (10%) percent of the bid. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date and time of receipt of bids,except as provided by State law. The Stark County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated 1. General Construction (interior renovation work), including BUT not limited to Abatement, Demolition, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical and Technology. The contract documents include a separate contract for Furniture. Contractors shall review all documents for a more detailed scope of work. 2. There is abatement that will need to occur, see specifications Section 13 00 00 Abatement for the amount of abatement remediation and scope of work performed. a. The walls to be demoed contain asbestos in the joint compound. It is the intent for the Abatement Contractor to remove ALL the demo walls (drywall and studs) as part of their scope of work, NOT the demo contractor. b. The abatement and demolition shall occur AFTER business hours, starting at 5PM (second shift work) 3. The Elevator Lobby Renovations on the 3 rd and 4 th floor must be done AFTER business hours and coordinated with the Owner. The elevators are being used by the public during normal business hours, therefore they need to be operational during business hours 4. The General (prime) Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing loose furniture and equipment in the project area of the 3 rd floor. There is existing office cubicles in the project area that will need to be removed and stored (see drawings for additional information/requirements). 5. The Owner currently has a 30-year warranty on the roof ANY work required on the roof must be done by the Contractor that installed the roof - Terrik Roofing. Please contract any work with Terrik Roofing. Question Deadline Wednesday August 27th by 12:00pm If any person who contemplates the submission of a proposal is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications or other proposed contract documents, he may submit to the County or his Agent, at least eight (8) days prior to the date set for receiving of proposals, a written request for any interpretation thereof.
